Timing matters! Collect your sample on the same day that you plan to ship the box back to Paladien. The box MUST be shipped from a FedEx location on your collection day. Only collect and ship Monday through Thursday.
Avoid ejaculation for 2-5 days before collection to ensure optimal sample quality.
Do not freeze or refrigerate the sample. Keep the sample at room temperature (between 68-77°F / 20-25° C).
Do not expose the sample to heat, cold, or direct sunlight.
Do not open the sample container oncer sealed.

1. ONE HOUR prior to collection, take the vial of pink fluid out of the refrigerator and place it in a location where it can slowly warm to room temperature. Do not place in direct sunlight or expose to heat.
2. Write your full name, date, and time of collection directly on the cup in the label space provided.
3. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
4. Open the sterile collection cup. Be careful not to touch the inside of the cup or lid.
5. Ensure you are in a private, comfortable space. You may use visual aids or assistance if needed, but DO NOT use lubricants or saliva (they can harm sperm).
1. Collect the entire ejaculate directly into the sterile collection cup. Avoid any loss of the initial portion of the sample, as it contains the highest sperm concentration.
2. Carefully pour the entire contents of sperm wash media (vial of pink fluid) into the collection cup. (The empty glass vial is safe to be discarded in household trash.)
3. Close the lid tightly: carefully ensure that the threads to the screw top are properly aligned. Screw the cap until you hear an audible click then additionally tighten until the lid is snug. DO NOT attempt to stir, mix, or shake to combine the sample with the media fluid, it is not necessary.
1. Place the collection cup into the sealable bag included in the kit.
2. Seal the bag securely.
3. Place one gel pack at the bottom of the insulated container. This gel pack should be at room temperature. DO NOT cool or re-freeze the gel packs, the room temperature packs will properly insulate your sample during shipping.
4. Place the sealed bag into the insulated container on top of the gel pack you placed there in the prior step.
5. Place the second gel pack on top of the sealed bag.
6. Place the styrofoam lid on the insulated container to close it.
7. Close the cardboard box around the insulated container and secure and seal it with the provided packaging tape.
1. Affix return shipping label to the package (be sure to either remove or cover the shipping label used for delivery to you). Drop package off at a FedEx center the same day of collection (within 2 hours of collection is preferred). DO NOT use FedEx drop boxes, the temperature of drop boxes can harm your sample.
2. DO NOT DELAY SHIPMENT. The sample is time sensitive.
